CHORUS Heaven Didn’t know About the laws of closure. Hand over your shoulder Won’t let it go. Heard somebody say Earlier today That nothing ever happens, But the break of day. And the break of night, A star in sight. Heaven didn’t know. VERSE I can hear it in the shower, And its raining on down easy street, And it’s lapping along the pavement. Overhead, all thats wet, Waits a-glistening. And it’s getting time I payed rent, And I’m forking out by the hour, And the cloud bursting into showers. Overhead, all you left Begs an audience. BRIDGE You and me a reverie a-bound for nothing, Deep dumbfounded in your eyes. You and me a reverie a-bound for nothing, Deep dumbfounded in your eyes. CHORUS Heaven Didn’t know About the laws of closure. Hand over your shoulder Won’t let it go. Heard somebody say Earlier today That nothing ever happens, But the break of day. And the break of night, A bird in flight. Heaven didn’t know.

Just For Now 03:58
Verse 1 It occurred to me that the weather, it’s gonna keep changing, forever. And it appeared to me that under the tree, is another tree, upside down. Verse 2 And it settled on me, like a blue wave. And it’s sitting on me, forever… Chorus …Or maybe just for now? Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. At least, just now. Verse 3 And it occurred to me that the big blue sea, well, its bigger than me, forever and ever. Chorus For now, maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now. Maybe just for now.

The Well 03:15
VERSE 1 Undertakers overtake in hybrid cars with broken brakes. You oversleep, and then you wake. You undergo a silent state of mind. Go under in the silence you can find. As above, so below. One a dove, one a crow. Cars swept up by tornadoes, Cast off the edge and down you go. Falling and you really think you’ll die. VERSE 2 We went over mountains and we saw the planets roof. Fortresses and oceans in the valley of the truth. You had tried to tell me but I couldn’t hear. Laughing uncontrollably and crying all my tears. We hold each other sitting side by side along the well. We all fit together like seashells In an ice cream bucket. VERSE 3 Throwing stones into the well while waiting on the wall. Watching as they disappear in darkness as they fall. You will fade away from me like stones thrown hard and far. Thrown away like memories bound to a distant star. Pulled away by memories in place of something new. Pulled apart by particles in asteroids and moons. Ripped apart by god who came disguised as me and you. Plucked away like feathers gently falling as you flew up high. Up, up, up, forget about the sky. VERSE 4 I feel other moments rubbing shoulders with mine. Smells and thoughts and memories travelling through time. Dreams like shadow puppets played upon the wall of mind. Parts of other moments, all contained in mine.

Easy Way Out 04:07
VERSE 1 There’s an easy way out, But you can be there for a minute.. And you might believe your in it, But your trying to be real. Then a murmur of doubt. Man things used to be much clearer. Now I’m writing like Indira, And I’m trying to be real. CHORUS 1 Cos everybody knows it. I’ll Take it in my stride till the break of day. Till I can’t hold it. The easy way out is just to live with the doubt Inside of you, I tried for you, Cos you were everything.. But you can take your minute. I’m talking to you. VERSE 2 A whisper isn’t a shout, But you can hear it for a moment. I sighed to you ‘I’d fly for you, But get a hold of yourself’. CHORUS 2 Cos everybody knows it. I’ll Take it in my stride till the break of day. Till I can’t hold it. The easy way out is just to live with the doubt Inside of you, I tried for you, Cos you were everything.. But you can take your minute. I’m talking to you. BRIDGE Opening my ladder to the skyline. Cloaking every dagger in the divine. This windows closing right on time. Poking through the canvas of a still life. Locating the fragments of my young mind Pick me up to see the light. CHORUS 3 Cos everybody knows it. I’ll Take it in my stride till the break of day. Till I can’t hold it. The easy way out is just to live with the doubt Inside of you, I tried for you, Cos you were everything.. But you can take your minute. I’m talking to you. You can take your minute. I’m talking to you. you can take your minute. I’m talking to you.

Verse 1 All of the signs and their meanings, Limited aloud in the tethered word All of the lines are bleeding Into and around, while the colours swirl Wet like watercolours they begin to unfurl Verse 2 All of the tides are beating. Slapping on the ground like the severed word. All of the sights are seething With the wavy lines of the summers whirl. An open window pane that lights onto a pearl. Verse 3 All of the times are fleeting. Limited aloud, by the fettered word. All of the lies and cheating, Immently drowned, by the honest word. Like a floating frame that paints another world. An open windowpane that lights onto a pearl. Wet like watercolours they begin to unfurl. Like a floating frame that paints another world.

about

Glenn Hopper Sydney, Australia

Glenn Hopper is a tall, bookish, humorous and slightly awkward guy who grew up in the Blue Mountains and spent a lot of time in the bush and playing piano. Glenn is also someone curious about life and meaning; an attraction to mystery that has pulled him deep into introspective isolation, and pushed him outward into a whirlwind of music, parties, great friendships and big loves. ... more
